Front to back detail
A narrower opening puts a much deeper slice of the scene inside the sharp zone.
How to get it

Use f/8–f/11 — usually the sharpest range on a lens.

Focus roughly a third into the scene.

Less light reaches the sensor, so use a tripod or accept a slower shutter speed.
